Rebecca McClellan has served the 6th Congressional District on the State Board of Education since 2017, and has been a champion for equity and academic growth and achievement for all students. Her service has included a term as the Board Liaison to the Colorado Special Education Advisory Committee, as well as State Board Legislative Liaison. Rebecca has represented the State Board at the National Association of State Boards of Education. Board Member McClellan was selected as a 2017 Gates Fellow to the Harvard Kennedy School of Government program for Senior Leaders in State and Local Government.
Rebecca’s experience as Mayor Pro Tem and Councilwoman included experience in economic development. She recognizes that excellent public schools are critical for a healthy economy with high wage jobs. Great schools are also vital as we prepare our children for college or career.
