Mark Pazin has spent a lifetime keeping us safe, as a deputy sheriff, elected sheriff, and as the Law Enforcement Chief of the California Office of Emergency Services under Governors Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom. He believes in less taxation, fiscally responsible government, safe neighborhoods, increased water storage and reducing regulations on farms and small businesses in order to create good-paying jobs, and he has a comprehensive plan to reduce homelessness.
The National Guard is important to our safety, with California having the largest Guard unit in the United States. Mark knows the importance of having the very best trained and equipped units for prompt mobilization for national emergencies as needed.
Mark also knows the importance of adjustment when returning home from deployment. Mark will provide the proper staffing to assist those returning home with the resources they need to reenter the civilian workforce, and work with federal agencies when it is necessary to handle any service connected claims.
