Bill was born and raised in Brighton, Massachusetts, where he resides today with his wife, Eileen, and daughter, Bridget. Bill is an elections attorney and a lifelong Democrat who has become a national leader in elections administration and financial services oversight. Secretary Galvin has been a supporter of Election Day registration and has been a strong advocate for the passage of the Votes Act, which would make “no excuse” Vote by Mail permanent in Massachusetts. He has also stood up to the Trump administration, and called out Trump’s false claims of fraud while protecting our voter data.
