Dr. Ronny Jackson was raised in Levelland, Texas where he learned the value of family, faith, and hard work. After working as a roustabout in the West Texas oilfields, he paid his way through undergraduate school at Texas A&M University. Following graduation from medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, he began active-duty service in the United States Navy.
With unique training in undersea medicine, he utilized his talents while assigned to locations ranging from Panama City, Florida to Sigonella, Italy. Dr. Jackson would later complete his residency in Emergency Medicine, finishing at the top of his class. Soon thereafter, he deployed to Iraq to lead Resuscitative Medicine efforts on the battlefield for a combat Surgical Shock Trauma Platoon.
I was born and raised in a small farming community, so I know just how vital the agriculture industry is to our state and local economies. This is especially true in Texas’ 13th Congressional District which accounts for 35% of Texas’ agriculture sales, making it the state’s top-rated agriculture district, and the sixth overall agriculture district in the United States. I will be a proud and tireless advocate for our great farmers and ranchers. Ensuring food security and successful agriculture production is not only critical to our district, but also to the United States and the rest of the world. |
My experience as a roustabout in the West Texas oil fields taught me firsthand how important oil and gas production are to Texas’ 13th Congressional District.
While the radical left pushes bad energy policies like the Green New Deal—which would decimate our ability to produce vital resources—I will always support legislation that protects the energy industry, and its impact on our local economy.
Maintaining America’s energy independence and Texas’s position as the nation’s leading oil and gas producer is an important priority to me, and I will be an active voice in standing up to the Biden Administration’s war on energy.
I firmly oppose the radical left’s embrace of illegal immigration. I have great respect for those who immigrate to America the legal and proper way, but we are a nation of laws and it is unsafe and unfair to legal immigrants, and indeed all Americans, to live under open border policies. We must secure our border and better enforce our existing immigration laws. I will continuously combat any radical policies put forth by the Biden Administration, and be a steadfast advocate for commonsense immigration reforms and enforcement of these laws. |
Core to America’s national security is a strong national defense. Having served in the military for nearly three decades, I am prepared to play an active role in Congress to help to bolster our national defense.
Texas’ 13th Congressional District plays a vital role in our country’s military preparedness and dominance, thanks to the great work done at Sheppard Air Force Base, Pantex, and Bell Helicopter. I will be a strong partner and advocate for their vital work as we look to keep the growth and modernization of our national defense going.
As a retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral with nearly three decades of military service I understand the commitment and sacrifices made by servicemen and servicewomen to serve our country. I am very in tune with their needs, and that of their families.
The federal government must deliver on its promises to those who have served by providing quality care and services. I pledge to use my voice in Congress to demand nothing but the best for our American heroes, particularly for the veterans living in Texas’ 13th Congressional district.
As a former physician, I have seen how broken America’s healthcare system has become. I understand the challenges hard-working Americans face with the healthcare system, and I will use my experience to be a strong voice for them in Congress.
To address these challenges, one of my top priorities will be to advocate for meaningful patient-first healthcare policies, which will lower overall costs, foster competition, eliminate monopolies, promote transparency, and increase access in our rural areas, instead of policies which stifle innovation and undermine patient choice by increasing government intrusion.
As we work to recover from COVID-19, perfecting America’s vaccine rollout and rebuilding our economy is top priority. In Congress, I will always seek common ground with my colleagues as we look to solve the unprecedented challenges before us.
