Marie Waldron has been actively involved in in the conservative movement for decades. As a Republican Party activist, a City Councilwoman, and as Republican Assembly Leader she took the fight to liberals in Washington and Sacramento. Throughout this time she’s been a small business owner and mother.
Soft on crime policies have dramatically increased violent crime and property theft. I support rolling back state laws and initiatives which have been letting felons out of jail early and reduced penalties for violent and property crimes. Further, I support increasing penalties for criminals who deal opiates and fentanyl to our young people.
It’s getting harder and harder to live a middle-class life in California. We have an ongoing, multi- billion dollar budget surplus at the state: I support the biggest Middle Class Tax Cut in California history. The liberals in Sacramento proposed billions in new taxes last year alone: I oppose any and all new taxes.
All Californians should have access to good, affordable health care… but socialized, government run healthcare is not the answer. We don’t need government bureaucrats getting between doctors and patients, and we don’t need the massive tax hikes that would be needed for socialized healthcare. Instead, I support free-market solutions where we get the best, at the lowest cost.
It’s unbelievable that we have some of the worst K-12 schools in America. We need to make sure teachers have all the resources they need, but at the same time require results. I strongly oppose anti-American teaching – We need to teach our history, Constitution, and Founding Fathers! I support school choice and charter schools. I support parental rights and believe parents should have more of a voice on where their students go to school and what they learn.
We should be the kind of people that make sure our veterans and seniors get all the help they need to live comfortable, healthy lives. I know we are that kind of people! I support programs which help returning veterans readjust to civilian life, find good-paying jobs and homes. And I support programs which help seniors keep living independently, happily, with tax breaks on their income, so they can stay in California.
It’s time to be blunt: the majority of homeless have problems with drug addiction or mental health. Letting them live and die on the streets is not an answer. We need to require treatment – and get those facilities up and running NOW. At the same time, we need to clean up the dangerous, filthy camps which have become ground zero for disease, drug sales, and prostitution.
