U.S Representative Greg Pence represents Indiana's 6th District, where he lives with his wife Denise in Columbus. He is a proud husband, father, grandfather, Marine officer and small businessman who will ensure Indiana's 6th District continues its strong tradition of leadership in Congress.
Joining the Marine Corps in 1979 in his hometown of Columbus, Pence considers his role in Congress as a new opportunity to serve the community, state, and country that he loves. Pence understands that the 6th District needs a leader who will prioritize constituents and ensure Hoosiers always have a seat at the table.
The Hoosier Ag industry is important to the nation. We must support our farmers, ranchers and producers, which is why I authored H.R. 2790, the Modernizing Agricultural Transportation Act, to reduce the regulatory burden on hardworking Hoosiers in the transportation and ag community.
An important aspect of 21st century infrastructure is broadband, which is why I support the effort to increase rural broadband support, to ensure communities across the 6th District have access to the internet and broadband services.
We must fight for policies that put Indiana's 6th District in the best position to attract good paying jobs and raise wages of all Hoosiers. We must foster an environment that allows for innovation and job creation. I have been an outspoken advocate for the USMCA trade agreement and am happy it has finally passed the House.
We must ensure that every decision we make puts our children in the best position to succeed in a 21st century economy. We must empower parents and local communities to make education decisions, not unelected bureaucrats in Washington.
Indiana is the "Crossroads of America," and I am proud to represent Hoosiers in Congress. Roughly one-third of the nation's population is located within a day's drive of Indiana and on top of the four major interstate highways that meet in Indianapolis, Indiana is also home to three major ports.
I am committed to fully funding our military and providing the brave men and women of our armed forces with the training and resources they need. I fought for this country, and I understand what it takes to keep our nation safe. As a former member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I work with my colleagues to do what's best for our nation, and of course, for Hoosiers.
I am unapologetically pro-life. A society is judged by how they treat the most vulnerable among us. We must always stand for life, that is why I am proud to co-sponsor H.R. 962, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection act, and H.R. 784, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
I am pro-gun. Our founding fathers included the Second Amendment in order to defend our Constitutional rights against a tyrannical government and I will always protect this right.
Our nation has no greater responsibility than providing for our national defense and taking care of the men and women who sacrificed everything for our freedom. I will always do my best to ensure that our veterans get the care that they've earned through blood, sweat and love of country.
I am dedicated to working with my colleagues in Congress to pass meaningful reforms to expand access to care at the VA while enhancing choice and flexibility in healthcare benefits.
My commitment to my fellow veterans is strong. This is why we led the successful passage of legislation to help victims' families of the 1983 Beirut Bombing terrorist attack collect financial judgements against Iran.
I strongly support President Trump and his commitment to the American people. I will continue to work with President Trump to increase wages, create more and better jobs and to follow through on his America-First agenda.
