Born in Michoacan Mexico, I come from a hard working, honest and humble family. I started working at the age of 7 picking strawberries, potatoes, tomatoes, collecting cardboard, selling ice cream, and shining shoes in order to make a living. I came to this country at the age of 13 with the American Dream in mind. After seeing that my father was working in the field 15 hours per day 7 days a week, I promised my parents I would make them proud. I have 7 sisters and 3 brothers and I was the only one that had the opportunity to get an education here. I have 2 sons (25 and 18), I am a small business owner in Insurance and Real Estate. I was also a restaurant owner for 7 years in the city of Moreno Valley. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with 2 degrees (Criminal Justice and Political Science). I am proud of my family and my heritage. I know that working together, we can fight for a better future!
