Mathew J. Muratore

Mathew Muratore, State Representative for the First Plymouth District, was first elected to the House of Representatives in November 2014. He served as a member of the Plymouth Select Board from May 2010-January 2015 and as Chairman of the Board from 2012-2014. Prior to his election to the Plymouth Select Board, Representative Muratore also served as a member of the Plymouth Advisory and Finance Committee and was Board Member and Chairman of the Plymouth Council on Aging.

Legislative Accomplishments

Maintained 100% voting record (1,346 roll call votes)
Passed numerous bills to assist businesses, residents, municipalities, and schools impacted by Covid-19 such as:

- options to conduct town meeting, voting, and virtual notarization

-approved alcohol sales with take-out orders

-waived MCAS requirement

-addressed food insecurity

-placed temporary moratorium on evictions and foreclosures

-extended benefits and waived waiting period for unemployment

Passed Hands-Free use of mobile telephones while driving bill
Passed Children’s Health and Wellness bill
Passed Student Opportunity Act to increase Chapter 70 education funding to cities and towns by $1.5 billion over 7 years
