I grew up in a little town outside of Flint, Michigan. My dad ran a trucking/logistics company with my grandpa, and my mom mostly raised myself and my sister. As my sister and I got older, my mom went back to school, eventually becoming a teacher in Flint, then a teacher and principal at a local Catholic school.
In order for democracy to thirve, those that wish to harm it must be brought to justice.
In order for everyone to succeed, everyone must be given equal access to the ballot. Efforts to manufacture election results must be discouraged, regardless of party.
Voters often don't have time or energy to participate in democracy. We must make it easier for the average person to cast an informed ballot, if they so choose.
