I became a doctor because my parents taught me that helping others is our highest calling. For more than twenty years, I have helped patients face and overcome their health challenges and go on to lead richer lives. I am running for Congress because CA-40 needs leaders who wake up every day to solve problems and actually help families in our district.
Like many of you, I was shocked and saddened by the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the
landmark ruling of Roe v. Wade. People in neighboring states are now dealing with the repercussions of this blatant attack on women.
In my work as a physician, I have seen firsthand how personal these decisions are for people. The difficult decision of whether to terminate a pregnancy should remain between a patient and her physician – not the government.
While I will fight to codify Roe v. Wade as federal law and fight to expand reproductive health care in Congress, Congresswoman Young Kim has consistently stood with the far right in trying to ban abortion rights and block access to reproductive care
